This is an attempt to compile my most recent works of sudden fiction. It’s always been an obsession of mine, the precise shotgun blast of shorts by Brian Evenson, Kevin Canty, Raymond Carver. It’s a function of reduced attention spans, getting to the point as quickly as possible with minimal marbled fat, and the act of trivia. But the trick is to not make it trivial and I suppose that’s what I’m searching for, something that resonates beyond the span of syntax. Most of these pieces are raw with limited editing so they are not the finished product. Sometimes I’ll write something elsewhere and plug it in here, at other times I’ll sit in front of this monitor and write direct. My hope is that either people will just enjoy (or hate) the pieces or are interested in collaboration or discussion. And thank you to those who have decided to come read these stories, it’s much appreciated.
